Trying to get into a group for the "New Underworld"
I have spent hours reading the forums and searching with many results, now I want opinions.
Been playing a long time and have a decent understanding of how the game works and how my charatcer skills function.
I want to get into a group for the "New Underworld".
How should I advertise myself?
I feel that the following skills and attributes would work well. I prefer sword over axe but can use either one.
1. Cyclone Axe
2. Executioners Strike
3. Endure Pain
4. Dolyak Signet
5. I Will Survive
6. Healing Signet
7. Gladiators Defense
8. Watch Yourself
Strength: 11
Axe: 14
Tactics: 11
Knights Armor
Is there a better setup than this and in almost a step by step fashion how would you utilize this skill set or a different recommended set.
Oh yeah, should I bring superior id and salvage kits due to length of time and drops?
The last thing I want to do is go in with a poor build and make it hard on the rest of the group. We all have to learn sometime.

the first thing you would need to do is switch your secondary from /mo to /me. the build is decent.
you shouldn't have a problem finding a balnced group that needs a tank then.

Dumb question,
Why do I want to switch to Mesmer secondary. I have no problem doing that I just want to understand the reasons.

the monsters there have a skill called "finger of chaos" that has various effects based on your profession. with each attack, they can strip an enchantment from monks (both mo/ and /mo). thus, if you have any prot monks in your group, their enchantments will be useless on you as you will have them stripped immediately.

Should it matter what my secondary is since my build is 100% tank? OR is it an appearance thing so that people dont think you are trying to use enchantments on yourself?

they can strip any and all enchantments on you. so, let's say that your monk casts an enchanment on you like guardian. that would be stripped even though it isn't yours if you are a w/mo. however, as a w/me, the enchantment would be unaffected.

He's saying that you should switch your secondary because Fingers takes enchants off of you because of your second class. So switch to mes and you can keep enchants on you half decent, (Shatter will still take them off every now and then.)

That makes great sense. I really appreciate the in-depth explaination.
Any suggestions on when and what order to use the skill set in?
Alsowhat draws your eye to the chat window when someone is looking for a group?
Lastly, Superior ID and Salvage needed? YES/NO
Thanks for not making me feel like a noob just because I haven't done something before.

Guess it depends a little bit on the amount of other “stuff” you carry around on your person. My two extra bags are generally full, but I keep the belt pouch and the regular inventory clear. With a regular ID and regular Expert Salvage, I’m always all right in Tombs. (Have a monk, necro, or ranger who needs wood planks? You’ll leave there with about 100 planks salvaged from Raven Staves aplenty.)
Fingers of Chaos, as has been pointed out, will automatically strip any monk enchantments from you when you are attacked (due to your secondary). Because of your primary prof, Warrior, you will be constantly blinded, crippled, and bleeding from FoC. You’ll just have to count on your monk to try and take the conditions off as much as possible, and take mostly adrenaline-based skills. You will have little to no energy in every single battle.
